This year, our efforts have centred on revalorizing under-utilized or waste by-streams from the brewing process. Through a biorefinery approach, we have been hard at work converting these by-streams into five high-value bio-products: feedstocks for bio-based plastics, organic acids, functional food additives, and more. These breakthroughs not only promise economic benefits but also represent a significant step toward reducing the brewing industry’s environmental footprint.
